Most homeowners have never been in their crawlspace, and that is completely normal. It is the part of the house you are least likely to see and most likely to be surprised by. A Kachug Crawlspace Assessment is a careful, non-invasive look at that space, so you can see what is under your home with your own eyes. Here is exactly what that $199 covers.
What we look at
We send a remote crawler with a 360-degree camera through your crawlspace and document everything we can see without opening walls or pulling permits:
- Plumbing runs. Supply lines, drain lines, and cleanouts, looking for active leaks, past water staining, and corrosion.
- HVAC and ductwork. Duct connections, insulation, and condensation, plus the condition of any equipment sitting in the crawlspace.
- Structure. Joists, beams, supports, and the foundation walls we can see, looking for moisture damage, sagging, or movement.
- Moisture and air quality. Standing water, humidity, vapor barriers, and signs of past or present water intrusion.
- Pests and intrusion. Evidence of rodents, insects, or other unwanted visitors.
What you get
Within seven days of the on-site visit, you receive a plain-language report in your customer portal. It includes the video footage, a layered map of what is under your house, and every finding ranked into one of three buckets: inspect soon, address eventually, or lower priority. We walk you through it on a short call so nothing is left to interpretation.
What it is not
An assessment is not a home inspection, and it does not replace one. We do not open walls, test appliances, or evaluate the parts of your home outside the crawlspace. We observe and document; we do not certify. And we do not sell repairs, so the report reflects what we actually saw, not what someone hopes to sell you.
The job is simple: show you what is under your house so you can decide what to do, or not do, now that you know.
